Ok guys, I just picked up a 2008 RSV and was wondering is there a spot on the fuse box to hook up my sat radio? I already and using the port on the bottom of the left side of the fairing for GPS hook up.

Welcome to our forum. Pay your $12. It will be the best money you ever spent.

I use a Sirius radio on my '99 plugged into the dash board 12V outlet. If your Sirius radio is like mine it runs on 5V, the adapter provided steps the voltage down. You couldn't remove the adapter and wire directly to the fuse box.

There is another 12V outlet with a 2 pin plug located beside the battery box on the clutch side of your scooter. It is about the size of 2 cig's side by side. It will be tucked in there somewhere. It is a strange size/shape connector that you will probably want to replace with something standard. An aftermarket outlet could be attached to this outlet with a flat 2 trailer connector or something like that.

Good Luck and I hope to see you around PA sometime.

Yes you can cut the adapter and wire it straight into the bikes fuse box, or battery..

All you need is a regulator.. this one to be exact..

it is 1.99 @ Radio Shack

Model: 7805

Catalog #: 276-1770

it is a 12v to +5v..

Really super easy to install..

Just soldier your 12v power to 1st leg, your ground to the 2nd, and then the cord to the xm power to the 3rd..

if you can't soldier (this is a perfect project to learn on)...

wrap the wires a few times around the legs and use a hot glue gun to keep them attached.. I would cover the whole thing in hot glue or shrink wrap it to make it waterproof anyway..

here is a visual if I have lost you ...

I have Sat radio on all my bikes and I wire the power directly into ACC on the fuse box, and use a Direct FM adapter like this to override any station that happens to be on the channel I am using when I travel across coutry.. [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-FMDA25-SiriusXM-Direct-Adapter/dp/B000KGLL84]Amazon.com: SiriusXM FMDA25 Direct Adapter: Car Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41oeziHOV5L.@@AMEPARAM@@41oeziHOV5L[/ame] really works well...

Hope his helps..

any questions...just ask..
