Would anyone out there have a clue as to why when I put on the hazards they won't work but beyond that it makes my turn signals and driving lights not work. This is a third generation owned bike and the original owner is the one who installed driving lights. could he have wired it wrong or do you think something else is going on? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the read only section on installing passing lights and check your wiring for the passing lights. Could be a bad connection.

Also... could be a problem with your hazard light switch. Might have to take it apart and clean the contacts.

...and throw this out.... take your turn signal bulbs out (front and back) and reseat/clean the contacts. Could test one at a time as well to see if you have a bulb that is going bad.

Just re-read your post. Nothing about the hazard flasher should affect the driving lights, UNLESS someone wired their power the hazard circuit. Of course wiring them to the hazard circuit would overload it and risk blowing the fuse.....

if your hazard switch is on I dont think blinker will work-- or at least mine dosnt- mine dosnt seem to work together- make sure both are off and just try one at a time

When I had the same symptoms on my 1st gen it was a blown fuse. Check that first.

I was going to send a PM to ask, "Which fuse?"

But what's the sense in asking an embarrassing question unless you ask in public? Is there a fuse for just the 4 ways? Cuz my signals work fine, unless the 4 way switch is on, then nothing happens. And it appears that EVERY wire even remotely involving signals and such goes through the the 4 way switch. I know this because I had the switch out and unplugged today. Trying to fix the exact symptom as described. Not all together a biad thing when I saw the corrosion in the plug.

Thanks for the reply's, but not sure I explained right, when I turn on hazard switch they do not come on, with switch still on the turn signals will not work, nor does the driving lights. You would think that the hazard switch would have nothing to do with the added driving lights, unless wiring is messed up, no blown fuses by the way. Then when I turn off hazard switch the turn signals and driving lights work fine.

On the 1st Gen the hazard lights have their own fuse. It's not in the fuse panel on top of the battery. There is another fuse box to the right of the steering head, it's in there. If I recall correctly it's an ATM fuse and there are are labels on the top of the box to help in identifying them.
