cheasby Posted August 13, 2013 #1 Posted August 13, 2013 Hello out there. New owner of a 06 venture looking for a bit of info. I was looking at the Michelin commander 2 tires. Does the smaller front tire have any effect on the ride, and are they recommended. I also want to put a 13 inch windshield on, anybody recommend a good one to buy.
dacheedah Posted August 13, 2013 #2 Posted August 13, 2013 On windshield look at the bagger shield, you can go low or high.
Rick Haywood Posted August 13, 2013 #3 Posted August 13, 2013 13 inch tall and 4 inch wider, Show Chrome I run it and love it costs around $90
djh3 Posted August 13, 2013 #4 Posted August 13, 2013 Some say the smaller front tire makes it a bit nimbler at slow speeds. I dont really notice a big difference. I like it as well as the e-3 I had previously. I like the Michelien because of the tread patterrn in wet.
Bert2006 Posted August 13, 2013 #5 Posted August 13, 2013 Used the yamaha 13 inch and 4 inch wider and it is a big improvement both for visibility and buffeting.
Brake Pad Posted August 13, 2013 #6 Posted August 13, 2013 I have a friend that swears by the thinner tire, But I always had the 150 on the front, I weighed 100 pound more then him too and a foot taller:whistling:
cecdoo Posted August 13, 2013 #7 Posted August 13, 2013 I tried the smaller tire on the front for a few years, it did seem to handle alittle better at slow speeds but the front end always felt lite at highway speeds. Wanted to wander and didnt feel solid, so I went back to the 150 avon. I prefer the 150 since I spend alot more time doing 75 then I do in parking lots. Craig
steamer Posted August 13, 2013 #8 Posted August 13, 2013 Bagger Shield, Low for cruising and high for long distance riding.
