Tires for a VTX

Looking to help a friend select a set of tires for her VTX 1800. It currently has Bridgestone Exedra tires on it. For the size that fits that bike there is not much choice other than the Bridgestones. I know to stay away from them on the RSVs but does anyone have any experience with them on a VTX?

I'm pretty sure Dunlop makes E-3s in a size for the VTX 1800
