Black wing Posted August 11, 2013 #1 Posted August 11, 2013 so im changing my ignition coils and i found this plug right beside them and dont know what it goes to any ideas?
IronMike Posted August 11, 2013 #2 Posted August 11, 2013 Thats a trigger for terrorist Motorcycle bomber. You plug the detonator into that and when you hit the throttle and both brakes at the same time it sends a signal to the detonator. Well I wondered same thing few days ago, I thought maybe a diagnostic plug Yamaha shop uses.
Squidley Posted August 12, 2013 #3 Posted August 12, 2013 I'm almost certain that it's for an emissions add on for the California model bikes. I asked the same questions several years ago and if memory serves me right, that was the answer I got....
dingy Posted August 12, 2013 #4 Posted August 12, 2013 The green one is used on California sold bikes only. Gary
jasonm. Posted August 14, 2013 #5 Posted August 14, 2013 sorry...I have a non-cali bike and I have that plug too...But it's buried. And ignored
dingy Posted August 14, 2013 #6 Posted August 14, 2013 sorry...I have a non-cali bike and I have that plug too...But it's buried. And ignored News Flash -- All bikes have the green plug, only used on California bikes. It does have power to it when key is on. Had to, you know what I mean. Gary
dacheedah Posted August 14, 2013 #7 Posted August 14, 2013 If you go to Cale four ennn eye aye , you must use synthetic blinker fluid, mize well order speed bleeders and be careful not to over phil them. Gary, since you are in Indiana I gotta ask, what color is your green plug?
Marcarl Posted August 14, 2013 #8 Posted August 14, 2013 Gary, since you are in Indiana I gotta ask, what color is your green plug? His would be red, don't you know!!! After all he's not from Indiana, unless of course they moved Indiana to Ohio, and then it would be orange.
