SARNA66 Posted August 10, 2013 #1 Posted August 10, 2013 I'm super pumped, I picked up the 99 I was telling you guys about. has 59k on it. Just have the clutch issue to take care of that I posted about. I will update if that does it with the fluid change. Just wanted to share, and say I love being a member here, I learned alot from here. and the people are amazing thanks again Chris
mm482 Posted August 10, 2013 #2 Posted August 10, 2013 We can feel your excitement. I know you will enjoy many miles of fun on this bike. The clutch should be a fairly easy fix. I hope we will get to ride together one of these days. Earl

93 venture Posted August 10, 2013 #8 Posted August 10, 2013 Went for a ride today, clutch seems worse as it warms up. at stop,it still wants to pull. flushing fluid tomorrow:fingers-crossed-emo Yeah that should do it, My 93 was doing that and changed out the nasty black fluid and it was just like new again
SARNA66 Posted August 10, 2013 Author #9 Posted August 10, 2013 awesome-I have a show tonight im Bourbon-Then I ll be up and at it in the morn.
bongobobny Posted August 10, 2013 #10 Posted August 10, 2013 Nice looking bike! Now for some bling... Welcome aboard!!
djh3 Posted August 11, 2013 #11 Posted August 11, 2013 If it was really crappy looking might just have to bleed it out some after a few days of riding. It sort of cycles the fluid thru and also forces the bubles if any to the bleeder.
SARNA66 Posted August 11, 2013 Author #12 Posted August 11, 2013 Round one done- already works better thanks:cool10:
Squidley Posted August 12, 2013 #13 Posted August 12, 2013 Just want to throw some person experience/wisdom in here. Changing the fluid was the 1st and easiest thing to do. It will work pretty good for a while. Get some green backs up and purchase the clutch upgrade kit from Skydoc 17. You will have to change the spring out, it's just a matter of time. I can almost guarantee you that the steels are glazed over. So dont be surprised in the not too distance future you start to get the slippage in 4th and 5th gear. It's not a hard job and the bike will lock up a lot better with the upgraded clutch in it....enjoy your new scoot
SARNA66 Posted August 12, 2013 Author #14 Posted August 12, 2013 Hey thanks, I will be getting with skydoc- when you roll on the throttle in higher gears-rpm's will run away. After further review, I will need 2 tires as well, 93 Venture and I looked it over and found a few other things. but minor at least.
