edtheguy Posted August 8, 2013 #1 Posted August 8, 2013 Bike ran great all last season and beginning of this one. Lately, it seems that when it gets warm, about half way up on the temp gage, it starts to run rough. From a stop it hiccups a bit then takes off OK, and if I slow around a corner in 2nd gear it does the same as I pull away and accelerate. Is there something that is heating up and causing this?
Marcarl Posted August 8, 2013 #2 Posted August 8, 2013 Put in a can of seafoam to half tank, ride it a bit, let it sit overnight, ride it a bit again, let sit a bit some more and then RIDE IT. Let us know if it helps. Could be some crud in the carbs and this process might help.
Bob Myers Posted August 8, 2013 #3 Posted August 8, 2013 allowing it to idle for an extended period of time with the seafoam in the tank will help considerably to rid the crud. Make thos idle jets earn their keep, clean 'em out.
edtheguy Posted September 17, 2013 Author #6 Posted September 17, 2013 changed plugs and added seafoam seems to be much better thanks
