Nemo Posted August 5, 2013 #1 Posted August 5, 2013 Yesterday, on a highway several miles from home and in between towns, she just cold died on me. I coasted onto the shoulder, looked at the gas gauge and no gas. When I had the Hannigan Trike kit installed I had the aux. gas tank installed. The system has it's own pump to transfer gas from there to the bike's tank, but the light wasn't lit and it wasn't pumping. OH BOY!!! Removed the seat and right away saw the loose wire that was to be attached to the negative battery post. What a bummer! Easy fix, but had me scarred. Previously I had removed the battery looking for another problem and somehow overlooked that wire. First mistake I ever made !!!! HA! But, on the road again in a short time. Whew!
spear Posted August 5, 2013 #3 Posted August 5, 2013 Second mistake you made was posting this thread. Now we all know! :rotf: (Don't ya just hate a loose wire, ESPECIALLY when you loosened it ya self?)
billmac Posted August 5, 2013 #4 Posted August 5, 2013 when you fill up don't forget to fill the aux tank.
