RandyR Posted August 3, 2013 #1 Posted August 3, 2013 I've not been able to find a solution for this doing an internet search. Windows 8 and IE 10 browser. on some sites, back-arrow to return to the previous viewed web page doesn't work because the viewed history is filled with links for all the ads displayed along with the real web page. This is annoying, because I'm used to using back-arrow to return to my previous web page, and I do it a lot if researching something. I can work around the problem by using 'create new web page', but years of being able to back-arrow have become a habit. This has only become a problem the last couple versions of IE. I'm certain its the way the web pages are programmed with regards to the commercial ads they all run (mostly from google).
Venturous Randy Posted August 3, 2013 #2 Posted August 3, 2013 As you know, when you put the pointer on the back button and hold it down, it will show open pages, including the ads. Note the exact listing on the ones that you do not want and then go to the restricted site listings and add these and they won't come back up. RandyA
RandyR Posted August 4, 2013 Author #3 Posted August 4, 2013 Thanks Randy. I've done that a few times, but they're thicker than fleas, and I was looking for a fast kill method.
