Close by Maggie Valley, Pigeon Forge, Gattlinburg, Casino gambling:mo money: a bunch of great venues for group events, camping, hotels and food. And close enough that I might even sign up for the event organization team.

They're everywhere.

What's important to us as VentureRiders when we get together for 3 days. Are rides important? Is the food important? Is the overall cost a factor? Is it important to have local tourist traps available? Does it matter what part of the week it's being held? Does the month matter? Are the daytime temperature an important issue? Do we need to have draws and raffles? Do we need to have shirts and patches? Do we need to be on the same site, campers and hotelers? How much time should be left for just getting together, camaraderie? Should we plan something different for the women? How long should the rides be? Just some questions to start the thinking process. Some may get dealt with, some may not, but at least we have something to look at,, so type away and give your input.

Is the overall cost a factor? Very Is it important to have local tourist traps available? no Does it matter what part of the week it's being held? Weekends are better for working folk. Does the month matter? Not to much but see below. Are the daytime temperature an important issue? Yes, some of us northern folk can not handle high heat. Do we need to have draws and raffles? A few are fun. Do we need to have shirts and patches? Not really Do we need to be on the same site, campers and hotelers? having everyone within staggering distance would be a real plus. How much time should be left for just getting together, camaraderie? Not sure of a number but it is necessary. Should we plan something different for the women? I think most of the women are there for the same thing as the men. How long should the rides be? there should be choices for different riding abilities Just some questions to start the thinking process. Some may get dealt with, some may not, but at least we have something to look at,, so type away and give your input. Just my thoughts added in RED.

Is the overall cost a factor? Of course! We all want a bargain. Is it important to have local tourist traps available? Somewhat Does it matter what part of the week it's being held? Not to us retired people... Does the month matter? See above... Are the daytime temperature an important issue? YES!!! Around 80 degrees is perfect. Do we need to have draws and raffles? They are fun! Do we need to have shirts and patches? Absolutely Do we need to be on the same site, campers and hotelers? YES!!! How much time should be left for just getting together, camaraderie? About half of the total time Should we plan something different for the women? Yes, they like it! How long should the rides be? Around 150 miles or less. Just some questions to start the thinking process. Some may get dealt with, some may not, but at least we have something to look at,, so type away and give your input. Group activities such as campfires, games, etc should also be included, part of the fellowship. Besides the group rides, there should be self guided tours as well because sometimes people would rather avoid the large groups and do things by themselves or with a few others, and not be dialed into a particular time.

I have checked availability and we have both lodge rooms and camping available from July 27 – 31, 2014 that would fit your needs. Based on your arrival and departure pattern we could offer a special rate of $99.00, plus 12% lodging tax and $1.00 surcharge for our beautiful bluff side lodge rooms and a special rate of $85.00, plus 12% lodging tax and $1.00 surcharge for our parking lot side lodge rooms.
