VR Assistance GPS Files.

Is there any way to get the phone numbers and assistance offered loaded into the GPS files???

 

 

this would make it so I would not have to carry a paper copy with me on the road as I Could call the closest VR assistance from the side of the road.....

 

also it looks like it mapped my location to the zip code center location, not my home...... did it do this for all members??????

I just put the Excel file on my BlackBerry, so, I've got everyone's email & phone without the paper copy and can email/phone someone directly from that file.

there is no address for us in our profile just cities. i would assume that is why its mapped to the center of your Zip code.

Ok I installed these files on my nuvi 750, but now I cant find or access them on my gps, I give up what am I missing:think: Help Craig

It may be possible but it would be a project that somebody would have to undertake. I know that the person who was originally doing it was collecting street addresses and or coordinates and putting those in when he had them. It depended upon each member sending him their information. I don't know how many folks did that. I've never created these POI files and don't know what is involved in doing so.

I might be up for it...at least adding the phone nubers so you can call someone who is close to your location.

 

How did you make the POI files???????
