bar836 Posted February 21, 2008 #4 Posted February 21, 2008 Just from experience, I would buy an I-pod or something other than the CD. I have had two and both quit working, they skip a bunch and the take up quite a bit of room in the bags. IMHO
Freebird Posted February 23, 2008 #6 Posted February 23, 2008 Folks...it's been a while since I messed with the CDs but if I remember correctly, there were a couple of different 625s. They had different interfaces. One had a C Bus and the other was something different and only one would work. I think the one that WOULD work was a CDC625 or something like that. I'm THINKING that the dcz was the one that would not work. I may be wrong though, it's been a long time.

I am not sure about the DCZ625, but I agree with an earlier reply that there are more than one type of model 625 out there. You need the one that says C BUS right on the front of the box. DC625 is definitely direct fit, plug'n'play. Better check DCZ625 closer. By the way... for those of you who use Ipod..... how do you change tracks or volume, etc, at 120 km/hr? I like the CD because I have the stock hand controls at my finger tips (gloved finger tips that is!). Spaceman

midnightventure Posted March 3, 2008 #11 Posted March 3, 2008 The models with Z in the number are not compatible. Only the ones with cbus work. I also have gone from the 6 CD changer to MP3 player. Like it much better and it takes up almost no room.
