Believe me, I am not being insolent, but did you take out/off the old gasket?

Are the new gaskets from Yamaha or are they aftermarket?

It is a necessarily tight fit, so be sure all rust and old gasket remains are removed.

No I didn't take it off it was off when I got it.:backinmyday:

Black wing I tapped the gasket into the muffler. Then I tapped the muffler with a PLASTIC headed hammer. Then when I got to the last 3/4 to 1/2 inch I used a TWO pound hammer and piece of hard wood to go the rest of the way.:whistling: Its nice and tight NOW!!!!:backinmyday: Thanks for the info guys.
