usedcyclesales Posted July 31, 2013 #1 Posted July 31, 2013 I'm looking at a 2008 Yamaha Royal Star Venture S and for the life of me I can not find any difference between it and a 2001,02,03 etc.... But in KBB the 2008 VENTURE S is $2000 more Than the VENTURE . Any one know the EXACT difference???? If any
M61A1MECH Posted July 31, 2013 #2 Posted July 31, 2013 Venture S has more chrome from the factory, font forks, clutch an brake levers maybe the master cylinders and other stuff.
RSTDdog Posted July 31, 2013 #3 Posted July 31, 2013 I know the Venture S has chrome forks and fork covers in place of the brushed aluminum pieces and other chrome bits not on the regular model. Not sure if the S included other items.
usedcyclesales Posted July 31, 2013 Author #4 Posted July 31, 2013 Venture S has more chrome from the factory, font forks, clutch an brake levers maybe the master cylinders and other stuff. The pics I have do show chrome forks, My guess it basically took the place of the Midnight venture. from what I can tell the paint is a very dark grey and black and according to specs it's a flat paint no metal flake.
slowrollwv Posted July 31, 2013 #5 Posted July 31, 2013 The "S" models took the place of the Midnight model. Just more chrome.
M61A1MECH Posted July 31, 2013 #6 Posted July 31, 2013 Yes, that is correct, for the years when there was no Midnight they had an S model to replace it.
djh3 Posted July 31, 2013 #7 Posted July 31, 2013 Midnight Special maybe? They are the ones with the chrome cover around the ignition switch me thinks.
bongobobny Posted July 31, 2013 #9 Posted July 31, 2013 Yup, chrome and a retail of around $500 more. Also a different color combination than the less chrome model...
