DavidD Posted July 29, 2013 #1 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) While riding my 2002 Venture I came to a stop light and out of the blue my RPMs dropped from 1000 down to about 500 and then back to 1000. When I went to pull away I killed the engine. I was able to restart the engine but had to give the bike much more power to keep from killing it. I was able to get it home but my idle is all up and down. I did change the fuel filter this spring. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting??? Edited July 29, 2013 by DavidD Spelling
BuddyRich Posted July 29, 2013 #2 Posted July 29, 2013 Sounds like fuel pressure. I would start there.
billmac Posted July 29, 2013 #3 Posted July 29, 2013 Try the fuel cap. may be plugged. open the cap then close it and try again. vent holes do get plugged up.
