sleepy2 Posted July 28, 2013 #1 Posted July 28, 2013 Coming home from helping son on his truck and just started holidays and WHAM cagger slammed into back of trailer. Lucky I had trailer on and not just bike. I wasn't hurt just a few choice words said! Checked over bike and seemed OK. Lucky I did an over-kill job on hitch nothing done. Took bike for long ride and seems OK. What a way to start holidays.
N3FOL Posted July 28, 2013 #5 Posted July 28, 2013 You had a close call. Also glad to know you are fine.
spear Posted July 28, 2013 #7 Posted July 28, 2013 Accident? That was no accident. I'd call it out and out negligence. That makes it a crash!
Frogger Posted July 28, 2013 #8 Posted July 28, 2013 Glad you and the bike are ok. How about the wife? Tom and Amy
Evan Posted July 28, 2013 #9 Posted July 28, 2013 Glad you and your new ride are OK but damn that pisses you off. Wish there was some magic wand to eliminate bad drivers like that. Anyway, enjoy your holidays Phil.

chris fulgenzi Posted July 30, 2013 #14 Posted July 30, 2013 glad to hear your ok. sounds like a break check crash test.. its just great news your in one piece..
XV1100SE Posted July 30, 2013 #15 Posted July 30, 2013 Sounds like you need more lights on the trailer !
Wizard765 Posted July 30, 2013 #16 Posted July 30, 2013 Phil: I've very glad that you and the bike are OK.. Is the trailer repairable?
sleepy2 Posted July 30, 2013 Author #18 Posted July 30, 2013 Everything seems to be OK. Only cracks were there before. Carl & Brad seen trailer and the lights I have(4" round Led tail-lights) REALLY bright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I had them ON while I was stopped.(had comments that more lights weren't needed because of brightness of the one I have) So I think it might have been a brief break release then a bit of gas before she hit me. Normally I keep eyes on what is going or coming up behind me but luckily kept enough room between me and new Corvette ahead of me.
