Condor Posted July 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2013 Add a little Sea Foam to the oil. It should clean right up. My first '83 was pretty grungy, and I had to use a flashlight to get a dim view of the level. After changing the oil a few times with quality oil, the glass cleared up.... I might add that I change oil twice a year rather than trying to see how many miles I can get out of it. 10-30/winter, 20-50summer.

Well dang, I always washed the out side of the glass when cleaning the bike, never had an issue seeing the oil. Now I have to wash the inside too :crying:

Kirby Posted July 28, 2013 Share #13 Posted July 28, 2013 Twice around the block on the spin cycle then once around on high heat should get rid of the wrinkles.

Huggy Posted July 29, 2013 Share #15 Posted July 29, 2013 It's amazing how a thread can go south so quickly...... That has something to do with the age of most of us! Our minds start to wader and then we tend to just kind of wander off talking about the last thing we heard. And why are we going south again? Is there a party down there or something? 'Going South' is an old expression used for something that starts to deteriorate. Of course this is way before your time....
