OK left side cover air vent A OK. Right side busted.:confused24: Here's a picture of what I have been thinking of doing. This a mockup of my right side replacement what do you guys think?:think:

I think it looks good and I would consider painting it flat black.

I think it looks great the way it is. For my '88VR, I chose to take the vent assembly off completely to aid engine cooling. In my region of the country, high temps are moderate, so I have no complaint of excessive heat. On colder days, the heat is welcome on my legs.

Agree...Also I think the VR's engine should be seen and not hid...It looks cool without that black vent.

I'm going to give it a try and see how it works. Flat black or not, have to think about it. My problem is I'm a sticker for keeping thing LOOKING original. Don't know why, just am!:backinmyday:
