I have the 83 that I have had for over 17 years that now has 162,000+ miles on it. I have done a few mods on it such as; MKII headlight assembly, bikini side panels, Corbin seat dished out even more, took 1/2 inch out of center stand and put steel wheel on right side to spin bike easily, purple paint with ghost flames and now a V-Max rearend. I also have an 85 that is ser# 5000+ that is complete that probably needs a TCI and some TLC.

I still ride the 83 routinely and put 270 miles on it Tuesday and with the V-Max rear, I still got 45 mpg.

I have owned 7 of them, an '84 blonde, '86 brown, '86 black, '89 blue, another '86 brown, a red '83 and an '85 parts bike.

 

The Red '83 and the Brown '86 are in the stable right now and the '85 parts bike is covered outside. I am looking to downsize considerable and in the near future will only have the Brown '86.

 

I have also had 4 - 2nd gens, 3 '99's and a brand new '08 that I had to sell
