ReinyRooster Posted July 25, 2013 #1 Posted July 25, 2013 I have tried many times now to press both the reset and selct buttons to get the clock to show.....it will show the trip odometers but I can't get the clock to show. Maybe it's a left-handed clock???
Monty Posted July 25, 2013 #2 Posted July 25, 2013 Try again. Sounds like one of the buttons isn't making good contact.
XV1100SE Posted July 25, 2013 #3 Posted July 25, 2013 Push and hold the SELECT button ONLY. After a few seconds the clock will display. To adjust the time you then hold both the Select and Reset buttons until the hour starts flashing. To change the time, once it is flashing you hit the Reset button to advance the digit. Hit Select to go to minutes, then hit Reset to advance the digit.
XV1100SE Posted July 25, 2013 #4 Posted July 25, 2013 You want a challenge? Try setting preset radio stations ! I have to look at the instructions each time I go to do a preset.
JohnT Posted July 25, 2013 #5 Posted July 25, 2013 Folks, just trade them for 1st Gens. Then it's a walk in the park.
saddlebum Posted July 25, 2013 #6 Posted July 25, 2013 Folks, just trade them for 1st Gens. Then it's a walk in the park. Hey the Newby catches on fast :backinmyday:and you two have been around how long Don and Reiny:confused24::rotfl:
ReinyRooster Posted July 25, 2013 Author #7 Posted July 25, 2013 I actually got the radio presets without too much headache....I'll try the clock thing later today.
XV1100SE Posted July 25, 2013 #8 Posted July 25, 2013 Folks, just trade them for 1st Gens. Then it's a walk in the park. Why the walk in the park? Is that when 1st Gen'ers are waiting or looking for the antique parts?
friesman Posted July 25, 2013 #10 Posted July 25, 2013 Maybe your clock won't read Canadian time... I would be inclined to think its because he is too close to Ottawa,....the feds are sucking everything in like a big black hole and its affecting time in the area..... Brian
ReinyRooster Posted July 25, 2013 Author #11 Posted July 25, 2013 O.K...found out that when I press the select button only, it cycles through the odometers but no clock...have to hold down both buttons for a few seconds and then ...viola...a clock....and it's even in Canadian time......eh !!!!!!!!!!!!!
JohnT Posted July 25, 2013 #12 Posted July 25, 2013 Why the walk in the park? Is that when 1st Gen'ers are waiting or looking for the antique parts? Nah, waiting for the 2nd Gens to get there.
JerryK Posted July 30, 2013 #13 Posted July 30, 2013 Have to have it on miles not trip and put your finger between them and hold them in and count to 4.....works every time for me!
PGunn Posted July 30, 2013 #14 Posted July 30, 2013 You want a challenge? Try setting preset radio stations ! I have to look at the instructions each time I go to do a preset. I have given up on that and went to my mp3 collection and Bluetooth....
stroker ace Posted July 30, 2013 #15 Posted July 30, 2013 Have to have it on miles not trip and put your finger between them and hold them in and count to 4.....works every time for me! Mine works regardless if on trip or miles by just pushing and holding just the select button as XV stated.
djh3 Posted July 31, 2013 #16 Posted July 31, 2013 I'm with ya on the radio presets. Man I cant remember how to set them in. Then when I do its not on the grouping I thought it was. Shoot I can barley remember how to get the thing to tune up and down to stations.
