Bert2006 Posted July 23, 2013 #1 Posted July 23, 2013 Hi folks, Been searching site for an hour for what wires to connect to when adding extra brake lights. I am looking to install my Bikevis red bullets and am not sure what wires are what. I also have the modulator that will alow me to use them as running\brake. What color is the brake, ground, etc on the bike. Also looking to tying into the harness under seat. To do so, do i need to remove the passenger seat? If yes how is it done. Thanks in advance for helping me out.
bongobobny Posted July 23, 2013 #2 Posted July 23, 2013 The yellow line is the brake light line. You will find all you need behind the licence plate light, the brown, blue, green and yellow, and black ground inside the chrome piece...

Freebird Posted July 23, 2013 #4 Posted July 23, 2013 Take a look at this thread. It is a write-up I did on installing a isolator for the trailer wiring and outlines all the wires. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=503
M61A1MECH Posted July 23, 2013 #5 Posted July 23, 2013 I can make you a plug and play harness that will plug into the harness under the seat so you do not have to cut any wires. Look for me under member vendors on the classified section. That is as long as it is not a GEN 1, but can do for GEN II Royal Star based bikes.

Only remaining question is how to remove passenger seat? Thanks again for your help.

Should be simple now that I know which wires do what.
Freebird Posted July 23, 2013 #8 Posted July 23, 2013 Passenger seat is easy. First you have to remove the riders seat. Then you will see two bolts that need to be removed to remove the passenger seat.

Bert2006 Posted July 24, 2013 Author #11 Posted July 24, 2013 Ok finished the install. Will post pictures tomorrow night. Back of bike looks stock as the lights are so tiny but when they light up wow. Thanks for all the help guy's.
Bert2006 Posted July 24, 2013 Author #12 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Here is a piicture of where they are installed with brake lights on. When they are off they practically disappear. Edited March 12, 2016 by Bert2006

This is a goood route for adding aftermarket accessories, if one becomes an issue you can simply disconnect and plug back to stock and ride on, oops too late . . .
