ragtop69gs Posted July 22, 2013 #1 Posted July 22, 2013 We will be looking for a room Friday night in or near Joliet, IL. Anybody have a suggestion on lodging? Hotel / motel mid-priced and in an area where the bikes will be there in the morning?
ditchdoctor Posted July 22, 2013 #2 Posted July 22, 2013 I would look by the mall Rt 30 & I55. Motel 6, Super 8 and there are a few more in that area. Steve Taskay
dacheedah Posted July 23, 2013 #3 Posted July 23, 2013 there is a comfort inn, holiday in express and fairfield inn at I55 & I80 near where you are talking about. We are about 45 minutes south east but not leaving until sunday am. Where are you riding from?
ohiorider Posted July 23, 2013 #4 Posted July 23, 2013 We booked the Red Roof Inn - anyone have any thoughts on this? It was rated well, cost was reasonable for the area. If anyone is from the area and has an opinion on this or another, let us know. (We can always switch!)

I'd put you up , we are working the beer tent at the Merchant Street Music Festival friday night. http://www.merchantstreetmusicfest.com/ it's free ( not the beer) 4 wheeling to it about 5 minutes from the house. We are heading to Chestnut with a group on Sunday am.
ditchdoctor Posted July 23, 2013 #6 Posted July 23, 2013 If it is on Larkin Ave I would not stay in that area. I would stay by the Westfield Mall area. I55 and US 30. That area on Larkin Ave I would not park my car let alone our bike. Steve & Dawn Taskay Tomahawk, WI Formally from the Joliet, Planifield and Lockport area P.S. If the door jams are wide you could always park it in your room. The reason why it is reasonable may be the issue We booked the Red Roof Inn - anyone have any thoughts on this? Scudrunner Posted July 23, 2013 #7 Posted July 23, 2013 I travel quite a bit and I usually go to Tripadvisor.com and read the comments for each hotel/motel.
