Squeeze Posted February 19, 2008 #2 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi Denny, i'm not Randy but to answer your Question, the upper and lower half of the Casing are sealed with Gasket Fluid or Silicon, which Yamaha suggests.
fixit3546 Posted February 19, 2008 #3 Posted February 19, 2008 Yamabond or equivelant. in a very light coat. I used one of those triangle shaped pencil erasers to apply it. it worked well.

Venturous Randy Posted February 20, 2008 #8 Posted February 20, 2008 Thanks guys for helping him out. Yep, Yamabond or the Threebond 1104 is what you want and also as noted, a thin coat will do. What did you end up doing on your transmission and fixit, how is yours doing? RandyA
Dano Posted February 20, 2008 #9 Posted February 20, 2008 Hey Randy & Fixit, I read ya'lls post from last year on the fix, you were gonna go in cahoots on the gear fix as far as rebuilding. Had any takers? I can tear it down and put'er back together, but not able to do the gear cut. Would be willing to contribute to your bike fund if you're willing to do it for me! Would also save me some much needed funds for other repairs! Gonna try to do the vboost addition, as Buddy is selling me the one he got from toolman. Every dollar counts! Let me know, Dan
dwichert Posted February 23, 2008 Author #10 Posted February 23, 2008 I followed you're forum.................Getting ready to put it back together Denny:grandma:
