If its there, you're good to go. http://www.oilspecifications.org/articles/JASO_MA_JASO_MB.php Edited July 21, 2013 by tx2sturgis

eusa1 Posted July 22, 2013 Share #8 Posted July 22, 2013 I have used this for every venture and tour deluxe that i have owned. My current 03 rsv has been on it since day 1 and has 170k and never a whine.
CaptainJoe Posted July 22, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted July 22, 2013 EUSA1, I'm hoping I like it, mainly because it's a BP product and all... Don't really care to spend a few more dollars. Thanks!
BradT Posted July 25, 2013 Share #10 Posted July 25, 2013 Been using it for years. When it is getting time for an oil change it gets a little clunky. Brad

sandman Posted July 25, 2013 Share #12 Posted July 25, 2013 I tried castrol car type oil in vmax and it turned to water consistancy in less than 1000mi. Does this hold its consistency?

jdsauter Posted July 27, 2013 Share #14 Posted July 27, 2013 I've been using Castrol 10x40 in my 88 venture forever, 3rd owner and that is what previous owners were using also.....no problems....
sandman Posted July 27, 2013 Share #15 Posted July 27, 2013 When you say you have used castrol, which one? GTX has friction modifiers and the 20w50 isnt cj approved. If it says it has triguard,or trishield it same as mileage extender or for high mileage engines(friction reducers). I didnt see any thing on 20w50gtx(car oil) but it isnt cj approved and has oil from mideast even thou it is bp, says on bottle. I used rotella t until they added the friction mods couple yrs ago. Now using 15w40 delvac fleet oil but looking for something else.
