The whole family loaded up and went for a picnic. It was a beautiful day for riding!

One dog in each saddlebag and the little one between us in a chest pack although she spends more time riding on my shoulder!

Don't worry.....all were tethered for safety!

I generally ride close to the center line but within the left hand tire track.

We were riding along #7 highway...which a generous 2 lanes with a passing zone every few miles. It is an 80 km zone...I think I was doing 90 or so with the cruise set.

I noticed the car behind us climbing up on my butt so I flashed my brake lights to tell them to get off my rear.

Next thing the car is right up VERY CLOSE and trying to pass me on the right. The idiot had to have 2 wheels on the soft shoulder to do it!

I swerved to the left and quickly slowed down just to avoid a problem

If the jerk decided to lose it from hitting the shoulder I didn't want to be right beside them!

Once the scare was over then I got upset! What the heck was SHE thinking? ( a young oriental ....20 something?)

I gassed it and pulled up beside her window (I was in the oncoming lane but no traffic was coming)

I starting yelling at her and gesturing wildly. She probably didn't understand what I was yelling over the bike and the closed window and all....but she got the point I'm sure.

I hit the gas and pulled ahead of her and RESUMED my cruise. I noticed she kept well back this time.

My wife said maybe she was just learning to drive....but if so, then her teacher should be shot, drawn and quartered and urinated upon...not necessarily in that order!

Maybe I need to start riding more to the right edge of the left track to remove that temptation?

Sounds like the classic joke, what do you get when you cross a (insert ethnic group of your choice here) and an oriental???

A car thief that can't drive...

living in a rural area when I had two wheels I always

drove on the far right side, as way to many have crossed the line

for a head on. I never have liked being that close to the center line myself.

glad it all worked out for you today! they also will just pass you more

when your over like that to pass the correct way.

I'd have stayed where I was, and braked hard to get her dumb a$$ past me.

Your will loose if she swerves and puts you in a ditch...

Besides, do you not think, she already knows doing such a thing would upset you?

They are out there.... amongst us

Man someone needs to talk to the guy that slammed the bike from rear.

WOW. Good Pic of idiot that slammed biker. Someone will give him a adjustment! I was riding at a relaxed pace around lake very congested with lots of kids and narrow road with buildings built rite in road rite away. A jerk passes me using most of my lane on a double yellow line with a full size 4x4 pickup. Narrowly missing me. Road Rage is a very easy disease to get when idiots are so abundant.

Guy gets out of his car and looks at his car ???????????

That was the most important thing to him?????

He definitely needs an adjustment to be made to the side of his head. With a hammer.

That is one reason I use both tracks, I am all over within my lane. I paid for a whole lane and I'm gonna use it. If you stick in the right track they will try to pass straddling the center line. With all of my weaving, cages tend to keep their distance.

You gotta know I was VERY tempted to give it a good boot and cave in the side of her car as she passed me.

But Like I said I was too busy putting some space between us in case she lost it on the gravel.

And that wouldn't be very Christian of me either.

If there was an icon of the little spaceman that used to get mad at Bugs bunny I would insert it here!

With the way the bike did a nose dive, it looks like he pulled in front of the car and hit his brakes. I could not tell if the car sped up, but to me, it is not apparent. It is obvious that the bike already had a problem with the cager. As I have said before, it is better to just go on and get away from the road rage.

I'm sure the cops got to see the video and I doubt the cager was charged. On a bike, you just don't pull over in front of a car and intentionally grab the brakes or this kind of stuff will happen, especially on a crotch rocket that has real good brakes. :no-no-no:

Glad you escape unscathed.

Anyone else notice who was the first to stop to check on the biker. Don't know what transpired pre video but the biker was and idiot to taunt the cage.

Trader, I think you could have been hurt...I'm glad that you are ok.

Its not a good idea to tangle with a cage, you never know...they might have a gun, it could be someone on drugs, or somebody that just had a bad argument with a lover. Unpredictable is the word.

We've all done it of course...even me.

Now tell me, how do your dogs ride in the saddlebags?

Do you have airvents or just remove the lids or what?

Just yesterday I was thinking fools behind me probably think I am either a rookie or hitting the bottle. And just yesterday the tactic came into play. On my way to town for a wifey errand. There is a new extended 35 MPH zone on the river road and it is annoying to all. But, I am obeying it and driving past the red light driver commendations this new limit is producing. Yesterday a cage (BMW, imagine that) was all over my @$$ When I moved from left track to lane center the idiot climbed almost into my tour pack. And I continued to move from left track to lane center and back till the end of the 35 zone. At precisely 35 MPH. I'm sure he would have taken advantage of the straightaway that used to be a passing zone if I had stayed center. I mean everyone knows it is not really passing if it is amotorcycle and you dont have to entirely leave your lane.

This thread has me curious. I am going to look to see if we have a dumb@$$ icon.

As far as the video, the biker cut in front of the cage, gestured (who knows what happened before that), hard accelerated for a couple seconds and then hit his brakes...

Very stupid thing to do...

As the end result proves...

P.S.

Most people do not have dashcams...interesting...

Take note of cage drivers attitude... he cares more for his car than for the guy he just hit...

That would have been a very bad idea. WAY back in my early 20s I was tooling along at the speed limit with a biker right on my tail, flashing his high beam and swerving back and forth in his lane, there was no place to pass. When we did get to a clear passing area, He pulled out to pass and I moved to the right edge of my lane to be polite. He pulled up next to me and started cussing up a storm and then planted a foot in my drivers door. Somehow that caused the car to swerve hard to the left and the bike ended up out in a field.:whistling: The moral is no matter how POed you are, the cage will win against anything you got to bring to the table while on the road.

You done good.

In that Vid

I was looking for the bikes brake lights and did not see them, He may have down shifted to slow rapidly with the intent of giving no warning.

I don't think the cage ever changed speed. I don't think it was an issue of the cage going slow in the left lane, they were both gaining on traffic rapidly.

It is obvious from the actions of the biker that there is more to this story than what is in the vid. But, see comment above.

At the 12 second mark (19:31:16) it looks like the rear brake came on...? Yellowish in color??

Could I guess be glare, but it sure looke like a rear brake light to me.
