I ain't no geologist, but that rock looks like concrete.

 

Even concrete can look cool once ground and polished.

That is a 3/16 slice of a pudding stone also known as a conglomerate

 

It has not been ground or polished at all that is right off the saw

I bought me a rock saw about 2 months ago. Havn't used it yet. My parents were rock hounds and I have my parent's entire rock collections now. Rocls from all over the Pacific northwest gathered over 30 years. Hopefull uses it this winter as a winter activity.

Yes some special sort of oil. The oil came with it.
