Daitan Posted July 18, 2013 #1 Posted July 18, 2013 Will the xvz1300 stator fit in the xvz1200? does it have the same plug connector? added some lights, and the 1300 usually has more lights than 1200. So,. is this an inexpensive fix or what?
reddevilmedic Posted July 18, 2013 #2 Posted July 18, 2013 probably want to go with a Ricks Electric Hot Shot. I would also recommend replacing the regulator/rectifier at the same time. my choice is a Shindigen, 3 phase.

Jayceesfolly Posted July 19, 2013 #4 Posted July 19, 2013 I put a Rick's High Output stator and a Shindigen R/R in my 89 VR and what a big difference in the way the bike starts and the stator runs cooler because it is not running at 100% power output. So the stator will last longer. Bike starts better and runs at higher voltage than with the original setup. 13.0 volts vs. 14.1 volts now. Also run the red and black wires from the Shindigen R/R directly to the battery posts and eliminate the wiring harness on the bike. R/R will sense the voltage at the battery and you will get better & more consistent voltage for the bike. Jim
