yep just put a deposit on it but it seas its an 83 and an 84 so was wondering just what it is have to go over a 1000 mils to pick it up will fly down and ride it back im in qeensland it in mebourn should be interesting trip was the onley one i could find for sale in os have a 84 bmw k100 just like bikes from this time

thanks gyes yes bikes a verry expensive on this side of th pond and its the only venture i could find so its this our nuthing 83 golwings sell for like $8.000 hear

Some early '84 Models came with an '83 VIN.

 

True, that has been called a 1983½, however, the VIN would have either 47R (for a Standard) or 47T (for a Royale) instead of 26H (Standard) or 31M (Royale) in the first part of the VIN.

For example: a 1983½ Royale would be 47T00xDAxxxxxx.

thanks agane gys hopefully itl be worth the effort im over six foot tall and have found things like gold wings are a bit on the tight side bean told the venture will be a better fit so looking ford to it will take pics and post a report on the trip if you gys are interested like i sead she is the onley one i could find for sale in os very rear bikes in this neck of the woods hope shes as good as he seas shee is :fingers-crossed-emo

Never heard the term '83 1/2 used before, but it works for me... The 26H/31M vs. 47R/T is also new2me info. Ain't this board great???? Always learning something 'Venture'.... :thumbsup2:
