beltfed50 Posted July 16, 2013 #2 Posted July 16, 2013 Anniversary 25th...plan to be sleeping near Chatsworth and riding to finish up the last 3 GaGrandTour spots that weekend...lots of good places to ride & see
Woody Posted July 16, 2013 Author #3 Posted July 16, 2013 happy Anniversary, we will be on our way the 25th
Motorcycle Mike Posted July 16, 2013 #4 Posted July 16, 2013 Lots of great riding in the area. We may be able to give you a guided tour.
RandyR Posted July 16, 2013 #5 Posted July 16, 2013 Sautee is on the edge of some great riding. 1st. Plan on stopping at the Old Sautee Store for one of their huge & tasty sandwiches. 2nd the Sautee-Nachoochee Community Association is 1/4 mile N of the Old Sautee Store and has several museum exhibits and arts galleries. Also there is the Folk Pottery Museum which houses the largest exhibit of its kind anywhere, and is very well spent time. Riding. just head N on any of the roads out of Sautee. Helen will be crowded, but mid-week isn't too bad and worth a look if you haven't been there before. Take Alt 75 to the Richard-Russell Scenic Parkway (348), then follow GA 180 west to GA 60 and south to Dahlonega. Have Fun. Maybe I'll be able to catch you for some of this. Randy R
Woody Posted July 16, 2013 Author #6 Posted July 16, 2013 Randy and Mike thanks for the reply, I will have to print those sites off and visit them. we are supose to float somewhere while we are there but that should not take up all our time.
Motorcycle Mike Posted July 16, 2013 #7 Posted July 16, 2013 Do you know which day/days you want to ride? I have to get the ducks all lined up.
Woody Posted July 16, 2013 Author #8 Posted July 16, 2013 Mike not sure yet, got to see what my daughter has planned. possibly Thursday evening, Friday or Sunday. we should get there around noon Thursday and set up. Daughter should arrive Friday afternoon and she will leave Sunday mourning.
Motorcycle Mike Posted July 16, 2013 #9 Posted July 16, 2013 Friday or Sunday works for us. We actually would prefer Friday. There seems to be fewer sight seers and the traffic moves better than on the weekend. But either one is good.
Woody Posted July 18, 2013 Author #10 Posted July 18, 2013 Mike, is the number in your profile still good, what time Friday would be good for yall
Motorcycle Mike Posted July 18, 2013 #11 Posted July 18, 2013 Yea, number is good. We're about an hour south of that area so say 9 or 10

Are you leaving Sunday? RandyA
