dacheedah Posted July 16, 2013 Share #26 Posted July 16, 2013 + Neil Young... Most Canadians don't like to mention Justin Bieber. The Americans can adopt him if they can stand him ! friesman Posted July 16, 2013 Author Share #27 Posted July 16, 2013 That's funny because the other night on a re-run of Big Bang Theory, Sheldon mentioned something about the US being invaded by Canada. Closer to the truth than he knew. :rotf: That's what started this whole train of thought.... my fav show... Brian

Stache Posted July 16, 2013 Share #36 Posted July 16, 2013 Hmmm. USA: 2013 - 1776 = 237 yrs CAN: 2013 - 1867 = 146 yrs Canada's finest province did not join Confederation until 1949. CAN: 2013 - 1949 = 64 yrs Depending on how you count, then, Canada had either 91 yrs (237 - 146) or 173 yrs (237 - 64) example of how to be a modern democratic state even before Canada was founded. I will leave the question of whether that is a good example (or not) and whether Canada should follow that example (or not) to persons wiser than me to decide. VentureFar Posted July 16, 2013 Share #37 Posted July 16, 2013 It wasn't intended as either a political OR a religious post...It was intended as a informational and interesting one... I hope it doesn't turn into one. Hmm didn't know anything in my original post was remotely religious......... Brian I found the connection: It was your "hidden" agenda that has now been exposed So obvious, staring us in the face all the time..... I was having a thought today, (yes, I know that it's a dangerous thing!) about how many Canadians are in the US working in the entertainment industry. I think its time to let you Americans know that we Canucks are on a stealth program to take over the States. I had no idea that there was this many Canadians working in the US in high profile jobs, and I am sure there is more that I havnt thought about in the 10 minutes it took to do up this list. Not even putting my usual signature on this post -too silly to sign.
saddlebum Posted July 16, 2013 Share #38 Posted July 16, 2013 Maybe we should enact a law like Canada has, If there's an American that can do the job, then No Canadians can come here and take the work. Since there's a lot of unemployed actors we should deport them all. I believe the Canadian law is - If there is a visible minority person who can do the job then no Canadian can work. Marcarl Posted July 17, 2013 Share #47 Posted July 17, 2013 No wonder the border guards are so particular when we come across the border,, they always want to know how long we are going to stay, and where we are going. I've never told them that I'm headed for Washington, and never told them that I'm staying for long.

Huggy Posted July 17, 2013 Share #49 Posted July 17, 2013 I believe the Canadian law is - If there is a visible minority person who can do the job then no Canadian can work. DONT EVEN GO THERE!!!!!! I got turned down for jobs in Toronto years ago because I'm WHITE ANGLO-SAXON AND A CANADIAN CITIZEN by birth. The company was afraid it would get sued by the minority rights groups if they hired me. And I'm certain it had nothing to do with the fact that I was still wearing my filthy combats and smoking a joint.
Marcarl Posted July 17, 2013 Share #50 Posted July 17, 2013 :stirthepot: Yah always get more from Canada then you ask for. Beer, sex, whatever. That's just the way they are up there...... Yep,, and I've heard that in some cases, mind you only in SOME cases the Americans had to turn down our offer of a certain product because the size was too large for our southern neighbors. We did send them a medium but it seems even that was too large to fit proper.
