AKRefugee Posted February 18, 2008 #1 Posted February 18, 2008 This may rate as the stupid question of the day. Do I need to take the Bags and/or rear tire off to replace the links?
kbran Posted February 18, 2008 #2 Posted February 18, 2008 No, but you do need to jack it up enough to releive the pressure on the rear tire to get the bolts out. See this post and do a search on leveling links for further info. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8075&highlight=leveling+links
Joopster55 Posted February 18, 2008 #3 Posted February 18, 2008 This may rate as the stupid question of the day. Do I need to take the Bags and/or rear tire off to replace the links? I took my bags off because I was doing a good cleaning of them and what was behind the bags. It's not neccassary to take them off but it does make it easier to get at the links. You will need a jack to get the weight off the rear wheel.
