mralex714 Posted July 11, 2013 #1 Posted July 11, 2013 I have an 89 VR that hasn't run since last September. I drained the fuel bowls and was able to get it running, but the volt, temp and tach are not working. These worked the last time the ran. Any thoughts?
mralex714 Posted July 12, 2013 Author #3 Posted July 12, 2013 Signal fuse? Fuse block clips. Which fuse, everything else seems to be working?
Prairiehammer Posted July 12, 2013 #4 Posted July 12, 2013 Like I said earlier: the SIGNAL fuse. 20 amp. The tachometer, voltmeter, temperature gauge and neutral light all share the same brown wire and the brown wire is protected by the SIGNAL fuse.

It has an inline fuse from the previous owner. It turned out to be the connector to the dash. They all work now put the tach moves very slow.
Big Lou Posted July 12, 2013 #6 Posted July 12, 2013 arms get stuck over time take it down a bumpy road ... bet they start working
