Trying to finish up my '86. Just pulled the forks to replace the fork seals. I noticed my steering had a very noticeable notch on center. Pulled the steering stem and the bearings and upper race look and feel good. The lower race has 2 chunks out of it? :confused24:

So, does anybody have a lower race? I am trying to avoid buying the whole set, since I passed my budget awhile ago.

Thanks in advance,

Kurt

My advice is to never use a used bearing.

My thinking is that it takes to much work/effort to do it twice if it doesn't work correctly. Besides if your bearing has chunks out of the race there was more wrong with it than the bearing. It must have not been adjusted correctly. :2cents:
