Does anyone know about or have used the Adventure Power battery? My original died in the 07 and the stealer wants $115 for a Yuasa. WallyMart want $82 for an Everstart (have had those in my cars, not a bad battery) and these Adventure Power Batteries are on Fleabay with free shipping. Just wondered if anyone has used these.

I personally think a better battery for the money is a Deka. Contact Earl, Skydoc_17 for a good deal on them. The Deka is a gel battery with lots more cranking power and long life. Just keep a battery tender on it in the wintertime...

I got the ETX18L made by Deka, At Advanced Auto for like $100.00 bucks, I think its worth the extra 20 buck for this unit. Its a top shelf Batt. SkyDoc might be a better deal. Dont know.

Yes, definitely go with the AGM and a trickle charger. I replaced my original Yuasa from my 02 Venture after seven years. I always kept it on a charger when in the garage. The Deka I bought from Skydok a couple years ago, is a superb battery with great cranking power, but again I keep it on the charger when at home.

Well, "IF" I go with the Deka, there is a dealer not too far from where I work, so I would just swing by there. The WallyWorld battery is actually manufactured by Yuasa.

The Wallyworld battery is actually manufactured in CHINA, and has a Yassa Stamp on it.

If you live near a DEKA Distributor, then by all means get the DEKA there. You won't be disappointed. I do want to mention that after 2007, Yamaha reversed the terminals of the stock battery in the RSV and RSTD. The DEKA ETX-20L will physically fit in the battery box, but rerouting the positive and negative cables is a must. There is NOT a DEKA battery made for the post 2007 models of the RSV and RSTD Ventures.

If you don't live near a DEKA dealer then try these links:

The AGM technology is far superior to a lead/acid battery. Cold Cranking Amps are much higher. There is NO out gassing, or acid overflow, so there is NO damage to the frame from an over charged battery.

Yeah, I had an Adventure Power battery in my Triumph. Died within less than 2 years. The previous Yuasa lasted a lot longer. I have now picked up a Deka and will be using that in the Triumph and I already have one in the Venture.

I took the battery out today. Never had it out before. It is a Deka, but as best as I can make out the number is as follows FTX2O then the rest of the number is gone.
