rona81564 Posted July 6, 2013 #1 Posted July 6, 2013 Hi there. I just replaced the o rings on my intake carb boots and had stripped the threads in the intake for one of the shorter bolts. So I had to use a bolt that was the same lengh as the longer ones. Is there a reason for two of the bolts being shorter. I'm hoping I haven't pluged a oil gallley. The bike seems to run fine with no problems. Thanks for reading. Ron
dingy Posted July 6, 2013 #2 Posted July 6, 2013 The shorter bolts are due to an interference issue in two of the holes. Front left cylinder, outboard hole & rear right cylinder outboard hole need the shorter screws. These two screws also need permatex or similar sealant as they penetrate the oil galley. Gary
