Kevhed Posted July 4, 2013 #1 Posted July 4, 2013 Chasing an instability problem and am trying to get to the bearings. I believe they are too tight as the bars will not move to the stop without assistance. It appears someone has tried to loosen them with a flat blade. I can see the marks. There is no washer between the nuts. My question is I have the bars off and have removed the big nut over the part that covers the bearing nuts. I loosened the 2 bolts around the top of the forks (by the A Hex head top caps) but am not sure what actually needs to be done to get that part off so I can get at the bearing nuts. Any help would be appreciate. I am waiting for a manual. Thanks
Yammer Dan Posted July 4, 2013 #2 Posted July 4, 2013 Flat blade method works. Just takes a little playing.
