Long Tall Posted February 17, 2008 #1 Posted February 17, 2008 Hey All....I was looking to do a little tinkering with the RSV yesterday and took things off to see about LOWERING the bag rails (Per the post here on the forum _Gen II)....When I loosened things up and lowered the rail and set the bag back on to check alignment, I noticed that the "new hole" spot "MIGHT" be to close to the curve in the chrome rail....(I looked at Boomers post again and pix)....QUESTION PLEASE: 1. When others have done this, does your rails ALWAYS look even with the bottom of the bags and level with the muffler pipes?. When I move the rail end up to make sure I have room for a lock nut, and replace bag for visual check, it is not level with either, but MUCH better than it is now! 2. I went to local hardware store and picked up a LOCK NUT for the bolt...Is this what everyone has been using? The kind with plastic inside...In stainless steel... The reason for these questions is that in Boomer's post and pix, his rail really line up WELL with the bag bottom! George In Virginia
