Welcome to a new life!! It's been around 25 years for Becky and I as well! Are you at the point where you can't stand the smell yet?

If you figure out how to loose the weight let us know...

I got to this point within about 3 days after quitting. I have been smoke free for 7 years now I guess.

I hate walking up to a store or restaurant and have to walk through smoke from those who do smoke next to a door entrance or exit. Just wish they would go down the sidewalk or out into the parking lot. Once I walk through their smoke I can smell it in my clothes for the whole day. Makes me sick.

I cant stand the smell of any type of smoke. If I see someone lighting up a cigar, Im always walking the other direction. I can not breathe around a cigar.

Would have to be one of the filthiest habits created by and known to mankind.

Quitting is easy. NOT quitting is hard.

AWESOME!!! So happy for you!!

As for the weight, If you have a smart phone, download the MyFitnessPal app and utilize it. I started my weight loss plan on April 3rd using this app and as of this mornings weigh-in, I'm down 33lbs. I have another 27 to go.

You can do it.

WAY TO GO, DARRIN!!!

You have won a hard fought battle and your body will be all the better for it...not to mention your wallet!!! Back when I was a smoker (early 70's) I paid about 35 cents a pack! I cannot imagine how people can afford to smoke these days, especially if they are a 2.5 - 3 pack a day guy like I was.

Again, Congrats to you! If you can whip that habit, you can shed the pounds too.

Hope to see you guys sometime this year before the riding season gets away from us.

I've quit 4 mos. now, had to cause of health. 3 weeks and I go in to get a new pacemaker, can't wait its no fun at all with the heat of summer. I smoked 45 yrs. about, quit once for 3 years, and it was easy to start up again, so those of you that quit hang in there, easier than you think if you put your mind to it.

:thumbsup2: To all those who have kicked the habit. Quiting is easy...it's not starting again that's hard.....:backinmyday: 24 years ago I used to quit 60 times a day. Not starting again was really tough... So my hat is off to all who have...not started again...:sign woo hoo:

Congratulations on this great achievement!:080402gudl_prv: I do know how hard it is to kick the habit!!

My wife has smoked all her adult life and in the last 10 years has quite 20 times. This last January she quite again. She hasn't had a smoke in the last seven months and finally has gotten over the craving for one. It finally looks like she has beaten the tobacco bug.

I have never smoked:no-no-no:. I was raised on a tobacco farm here in SW Ontario. After working in it all through my teens I could never understand what the attraction was. Even after my parents sold the farm and we moved to the city my friends all started smoking and the smell just made me ill. I was hard living with a woman who smoked!:whistling:

Good job Darrin! Talk to Sue, she's dropping size and weight on that diet she's on. It'll take some willpower but try and find something that works for you.:happy34:

The smell of smoke don't bother me yet, my throat will get sore after being around someone smoking. I breath better now and don't have the night rattle in my chest. Best part is not spending that 10 bucks a day x 365 days a year. Now that is nice.:)
