When I bought my bike (83 VR) the antenna was broke . So I bought a car antenna and now it wont tune in a station ideas ?:fingers-crossed-emo

if that only has one antenna for the radio and cb it has a box that splits and adjusts the signal. I would suggest two separate antennas, use the mount for the cb direct to the cb and getting an amfm antenna direct to radio.

Reception fluid is low

So are you using synthetic reception fluid? I know I am on the transmission side and it helps on the range for the CB :rotf::rotf::rotf:

A radio antennae is suppose to be isolated from ground. It's easy on an install to miss an insolating washer... check resitance of the antennae to chassis frame.

There isn't any rocket science to the radio antennae...

Agreed. I have even used an old coat hanger for a radio antenna with surprisingly good results.
