Goose68 Posted June 27, 2013 #1 Posted June 27, 2013 I have an 84 Venture standard it ran smooth and sweet after having my carbs completely rebuilt. Then on a trip to Houston I got some bad gas. I ran sea foam through it and it seemed to fix it, but it is just not as smooth as it was. It used to role in and out of hills and curves like sweet music. Now it seems a little rough. My gut is telling my carbs are out of tune, but I could be wrong. Please let me what you guys or gals think. If you think it is out of tune what is a good quality tuner and is there any special tool that would make the job easier. Thanks again for any help
Prairiehammer Posted June 28, 2013 #2 Posted June 28, 2013 Drain the carb bowls into a clear container, let it settle and see if there is water. If so, drain the fuel tank and change the fuel filter. Change the spark plugs, too.

dacheedah Posted June 28, 2013 #4 Posted June 28, 2013 I agree on draining them and freshening up the filter and plugs. I won't buy cheap gas and stick with big stations if I have a choice. Also check your air filters and maybe a shot of air or replace.
Goose68 Posted June 28, 2013 Author #5 Posted June 28, 2013 Thanks drained everything and changed filter and spark plugs. It seemed to fix my problem.
