sandman Posted June 25, 2013 #1 Posted June 25, 2013 pulled mtr and replaced orings that blow out aft of filter(main oil galley line to crankshaft). I,m ready to close it up and I notice a line missing that goes from flywheel resavor to oil pump area. cant find the line in fische for either vmax or venture engines. I know vmax has this line. Anyone familiar with this? Did ventures not use it? thanks

sandman Posted June 25, 2013 Author #3 Posted June 25, 2013 vmax pump is different than venture. I thought they were the same. It is a oil delivery line from flywheel resivor.
dingy Posted June 25, 2013 #4 Posted June 25, 2013 Vmax oil galley is different than Venture. There is another tube on VMax that Ventures don't have, goes into oil pump. Some screen captures from Dameon Feruillo's VMax motor rebuild video. Item 4, 5 & 6 in attached parts fiche cut. Oil pump section, this was from a 2004 fiche. Gary
sandman Posted June 25, 2013 Author #5 Posted June 25, 2013 There is more differences in the two motors than one would think. Not sure of lines actual benifit.
dingy Posted June 25, 2013 #6 Posted June 25, 2013 Attached are the lubrication charts for MKII Venture & VMax. VMax chart is more detailed. Gary
Big Lou Posted June 26, 2013 #7 Posted June 26, 2013 I just finished mine 2 months ago I looked all over the shop , blamed the dog, talked to myself for laying it down away from the rest of those parts on the table ,, then I remembered it didnt come that way and it was running good book sure had me fooled runs fine ,, I am kind of wondering if I went to find one will it do any good,, and will it mount,,
sandman Posted June 26, 2013 Author #8 Posted June 26, 2013 Big lou; you would need a vmax pump. and it appears to be a return line from flywheel area, to pump. I also want to thank everyone for the prompt replies. It helps when your wanting to get bike done. also thanks Gary for all your time. sandy
