Squidley Posted June 24, 2013 #2 Posted June 24, 2013 Dave, Check your starter button, mine sticks on my '83 and this will make it where the headlight and dash lights do not come on. The bike will start and run just fine, but no lights. The button gets sticky and doesn't fully come back into the neutral position and thus keeps the circut from being complete...

JoeW Posted June 29, 2013 #5 Posted June 29, 2013 Remarkably this just happened to me. Up in the Pocono Mts no access to manual or this forum. Changed headlight and wiggled all the wires behind the headlight. Of course nothing worked. Got home this afternoon , checked the forum and there was my answer. Sprayed a little electronic cleaner in the switch and all is good. I love this place...
