No Dash or headlights

This morning I went to take my bike to work and had no dash or headlights checked fuses looked ok Friday it was ok on my way to work had lights and dash lights any idea where to start

Check your starter button, mine sticks on my '83 and this will make it where the headlight and dash lights do not come on. The bike will start and run just fine, but no lights. The button gets sticky and doesn't fully come back into the neutral position and thus keeps the circut from being complete...

I agree...simple fix. It was my problem too.. way back when...

Leave it like that and one of these days starter will stick and not disengage.

Remarkably this just happened to me. Up in the Pocono Mts no access to manual or this forum. Changed headlight and wiggled all the wires behind the headlight. Of course nothing worked. Got home this afternoon , checked the forum and there was my answer. Sprayed a little electronic cleaner in the switch and all is good. I love this place...
