DragonRider Posted February 16, 2008 #1 Posted February 16, 2008 Aint mother nature grand..........I havent ridden either one of my bikes in the last 10 days and it may be a while longer before I can get on and ride again. I am suffering from a recurring Pilonidal Abcess, that has been treated many times in the past 12 years but keeps rearing its ugly head almost yearly, nothing they have done has cured it. I wont go into detail of what it is, but I will tell you this........."Its a real pain in the a..!!!" If you want to see what it is just google it.........but dont look at the pictures. I am hoping it will clear up before next Saturday so I can attend Ecks lunch meet & eat that I have been looking forward to.
FROG MAN Posted February 16, 2008 #2 Posted February 16, 2008 Get well soon. I can't relate with the medical ailment but I know several people that are a pain in the A**. Now about that 10 day no ride problem. Try 4 Months and still waiting.:crying:
Guest Popeye Posted February 16, 2008 #3 Posted February 16, 2008 Lewis; Sorry to learn of your ailment, hope you are well soon. As far as riding goes, this year, I've been fortunate & have logged about 240 miles during the 2 near 40* days I've had off, but one was to get tires, brakes, then to next county for registration, etc....but took the long way. No significant riding here until April.
papa smurf Posted February 16, 2008 #4 Posted February 16, 2008 i've got about 250 this year, but most of that was on a single saturday ride with the club. we cancelled an overnighter that was gonna depart outta dallas heading south (generally). been looking forward to that one for a while, but it's a little chancey planning any rides this time of year around here.
RedRider Posted February 17, 2008 #5 Posted February 17, 2008 I know exactly what that ailment is. My older brother had it when he was 20ish. Had it cut out as it wouldn't heal on its own. Once he had it fixed, he was a perfect a**hole. Just kidding, of course. My brother is also my best friend (even though he doesn't ride). Hope you get better soon. However, I don't have much sympathy for "not riding for 10 days". I haven't ridden since before Thanksgiving and there is about 15 inches of snow on the ground. We are supposed to get 6 to 12 more on Sunday. AAARRRGGG!!! RR
86er Posted February 17, 2008 #6 Posted February 17, 2008 Hey Lewis, I know that you are a pain in the a$$ but not that you have a pain in the a$$! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_6_8.gif Bummer dude! I hope that it gets better quick, but I wouldn't look for much sympathy from our northern/yankie brothers and sisters on the not riding thing! Hey, go get a child's swim ring and Ride On!
Guest mmmouse Posted February 17, 2008 #7 Posted February 17, 2008 BRRRRRR....It's 72 deg. Think I'll go for a little ride!:rotf: mmmouse...on the Ms Gulf Coast.
