I just got the bike back with my new Rivco Hitch, ( Honda Goldwing) I gave the tech's the sub wire harness, and Isolator & a 5 into 4 wire harness.

Question: shouldn't there be 4 wires coming to the back of the bike?

I have 5 Brown, Blue, Black, Green & Orange. Did they wiring this wrong?

How do i fix this, I have a 4 flat Plug in the trailer

Some thing don't sound right but I don't have an Isolator, only a 5 to 4 converter.

5 into the converter and only four coming out to 4 wire plug for the trailer hook up.

Mike,

I think the extra wire is for the back up lights, you will need those when you put the GW in reverse to back the trailer into a spot. You did get the back lights as an option on your trailer , right? :rotf:

without going nutz over this, Is there a 5 into 4 (trailer wiring) adaptor I can install?

I just replaced mine, I bought a Hobson powered one form Auto Zone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Hopkins-Trailer-Tail-Light-Converter/_/N-8ijmg?itemIdentifier=70605_534335_0_

It says it's waterproof but if you mount it under your draw bar like I did it will get water in it and fail, probally because something from the road put a hole in the side of it.
