Yammer Dan Posted June 18, 2013 #1 Posted June 18, 2013 Loaned out my spare TCI at Ashville bout 3 yrs ago to dude with non-running bike. Bike ran great with my TCI!! He was going to replace as soon as possible. This is one of the reasons I don't get into the parts thing big time here. I bought these bikes with hard earned money to do something with. Seems everytime I give a part away or loan one I get screwed. Guy with TCI hasn't been on here since 9/16/12. Never let me know anything. Give a good part to someone I thought was friend and guy screws me on something else. Can't call those friends. Just had to let it off a little. Those that know me and have a need know where I am.
Snaggletooth Posted June 18, 2013 #2 Posted June 18, 2013 Sorry to hear that Dan. Sometimes things don't go like we hope for. Hate to see it happen between members.

DragonRider Posted June 18, 2013 #4 Posted June 18, 2013 Dan if I had a spare one you would be welcome to it, but I dont think that would let me off the hook for what you thought I did wrong. Peder_y2k Posted June 18, 2013 #5 Posted June 18, 2013 When I encounter those kind of situations, I ask for a deposit up front, then refund on return. Lost too many good tools using 'trust'. With deposit, everything has come back. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '88VR
Yammer Dan Posted June 18, 2013 Author #6 Posted June 18, 2013 I trusted someone to act as I would. He was broke down at one of our meets. Took him at his word. Most can't spell ethics anymore.
Kirby Posted June 18, 2013 #7 Posted June 18, 2013 Dan, I hear you. If I had one I'd give it to you man. Sorry to hear things like this.
Yammer Dan Posted June 19, 2013 Author #8 Posted June 19, 2013 Thanks Kirby. I'm really not in need of it at this time. I was just thinking about it. Best early one I had. I gave it to him with the understanding it was a loan. I guess he has left. I can get along without it. It just seems I get burnt every time I deal with the human race any more. I do have a few parts.
dacheedah Posted June 19, 2013 #9 Posted June 19, 2013 Agreed, it's a respect thing. If you are shown love, you show love back and it's all good. I only hope they had a lapse and return the favor with an apology and a token of good will.
