Flyinfool Posted June 16, 2013 #5 Posted June 16, 2013 Its been a few years, but I thought that those were shoulder bolts to hold on the valve covers...... They have been known to snap off if over tightened while trying to stop a leak.

They have been known to snap off if over tightened while trying to stop a leak. The bolt that we are talking about, just hold on the chrome decoration covers, not any oil leaks there.
