Impossible not to have a good time. The show was over 3 hours including the intermission.

Next week it's Willie Nelson. ....Don's older brother I think!

Sounds great Gary. Hard to not enjoy a show like that. Anne and I were really revved up on music from our younger years when we spent a day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on our way to Maintenance Day.

you mention Wille. Have to laugh, I was a Texas Motor Speedway a couple years back and he did a concert before the race. I saw him get whisked away after on a golf cart. I said man he is looking really old. Next day at airport I read he got poped for weed in his bus. whoda thunk Wille had weed in there?? :whistling:

Willie had weed? :mugshot: Say it ain't so!!!!!!

I can only imagine what that show would have been like (Frampton, not Willie) He is a legend in my mind. Every now and then I catch a clip of him and it is always a great time. Someday, maybe I get to see him. The show with Robert Cray, I would have had a stroke.

Heck folks, Willie turned 80 years old last month. I think he has held up pretty well considering the lifestyle that he has led. He will always be one of my favorites.

Yes, at 80 who knows how much longer he will be at it. That's why we thought we should go see him while we can.

Might still be tickets left Don, want me to check?

About 2 years ago, Ron and I saw Willy Nelson preform in Lawrenceburg, Indiana during their Fall Fest. I was so excited to get to see one of my favorite old time country singers.

I do not know if Willy smoked a bad batch of weed that day, but he could not sing like he used to. Most of the songs were his slow numbers and he really had a hard time reaching any high notes. In fact, it seemed like he was speaking the words rather than singing them. I still loved seeing him in concert.

I guess when you go to see a famous singer and they are almost 80 at the time, you should not expect them to be the same as they used to be.
