Hummingbird Posted June 13, 2013 #1 Posted June 13, 2013 Well, it was fun while it lasted but we finally got back home Sunday evening. The one thing I promised myself NOT to do again is to fly into Charles DeGaulle airport. We (6 of us) had a great time, spent a total of 3 days in Venice, Italy and 8 days either on a ship or touring some of the Greek islands. Too much food, WAY too much wine and beer (especially when somebody else is driving) and Too much fun. Probably shouldn't do it because it MAY give the wrong impression but I did get a picture of the 6 of us every time we stopped for a beer or a glass of wine. Attached are a few of them - and one picture that needs no explanation, just read the sign over the door
bongobobny Posted June 13, 2013 #2 Posted June 13, 2013 Yah! Looks like you had a fantastic time!! Welcome back!
CaptainJoe Posted June 13, 2013 #4 Posted June 13, 2013 They were drinking the beer and wine strictly for medicinal reasons... It's not wise when traveling abroad, to drink water... Unless of course your constipated....

Thanks Easy Rider, save me a lot of splainin' but we did eat also - here's how they make pizza in italy nad it was alittle dry so we had to wash it down with the bottled water on the table
mini-muffin Posted June 13, 2013 #6 Posted June 13, 2013 Nice pics, you all were just trying out the local cuisine and beverages. Nothing to explain, most of us would have done that as well. No ice cream? Looks like you all had a good time. Margaret
93 venture Posted June 13, 2013 #7 Posted June 13, 2013 Good now you got no reason you can't come to the 2013 International Rally:confused24:

Margaret Thanks Mini - yeah, we had a great time. had the most fun at little cantinas in back allys. something pretty peculiar tho - every restaurant or cantina allowed dogs in the eating/drinking area. One really nice place had a dog laying behind the counter in a dog bed. Health department would have a ball with that over here the guy in the picture was talking to us most of the time we were there, had his dog on a leash
Hummingbird Posted June 13, 2013 Author #9 Posted June 13, 2013 Good now you got no reason you can't come to the 2013 International Rally:confused24: Darrin, We were planning on going to it - spent a lot more money on our trip than I expected, ran out of Euros and started on a credit card. So if I can recover by the end of July, we'll be there

The stuff here in the states isn't even close - by the way - we had wine with the pizza
