Yama Mama Posted June 11, 2013 #1 Posted June 11, 2013 As some of you know, we had to cage it to Freebird's MD this year. After putting on the new tire, and bleeding the brakes, greasing the fork bearings, Ron discovered there was no clutch. He figured out what happened. He had the handlebars hanging down because of the work he was doing on the bike, An air bubble formed in the clutch cable line and of course, there was no clutch as a result. He bled the line and voila there is a clutch now. Just thought I would share, because it could happen to some one else some time. I know I probably did not explain this as well as a guy, but I tried. Phoneman1981 Posted June 11, 2013 #4 Posted June 11, 2013 Thanks for the hint. I have had my bars and controls off a few times and did not even give it a thought about an air bubble.
cecdoo Posted June 11, 2013 #5 Posted June 11, 2013 Glad to hear it was an easy fix! Tell Ron I really enjoyed talking with him. Craig
bongobobny Posted June 11, 2013 #6 Posted June 11, 2013 Now who among us would EVER do such a silly thing as that???
dacheedah Posted June 11, 2013 #7 Posted June 11, 2013 I did notice you parked the cage all the way at the end
DragonRider Posted June 11, 2013 #8 Posted June 11, 2013 Now that it is fixed you can ride it to Vogel................

Yama Mama Posted June 12, 2013 Author #10 Posted June 12, 2013 Thanks Lewis for the invitation. This is the latest that we have gone without riding the bike. He changed the oil and oil filter today. Now to put the windshield back on. I told him I will wax the bike for him when he gets it back together. At this rate, it will be ready to ride in time to winterize it. Say What? Yama Mama
